Having edited my fair share of programming that wouldn’t pass the Bechdel test in a million years, POWFest is a breath of fresh air.
Now in its 6th year, having hosted luminaries like Amy Heckerling, Penelope Spheeris and Kathryn Bigelow, Tara wanted to create a short opener that celebrated the accomplishments of this festival so far, and showed the community spirit that has developed around it. I’m honored to have gotten to edit it!
